College Station resident Jim Ash has been on a quest for the past few months to try and get red light cameras out of the city.
Click to hear WTAW’s Chris Clift talk with Ash:
Early Thursday morning Ash sent an email to city officials and the local media requesting a public town hall debate over the issue.
Both Mayor Ben White and City Manager Glenn Brown have been out of town all week but they have agreed to address this issue Friday.
In the meantime Director of Public Works Mark Smith responded to the email as much as possible, and that interview is also posted here on wtaw.com.
Email sent by Jim Ash to the City of College Station and local media early Thursday morning:
Mr. Mayor:
The citizens of College Station, TX have a clear desire to know more about the Photo Enforcement System that you and the council have decided is necessary for our safety.
