College Station Police have made a second arrest in what has turned out to be several burglaries. 27 year old Derron Humphrey was the first one caught by officers who were on foot patrol Sunday night.
This happened before 10 p.m. in the 1300 block of Barthelow when the officers saw Humphrey carrying what appeared to be large bags of items. When the cops tried to contact Humphrey he ran away.
Comments from Officer Rhonda Seaton.
Humphrey was eventually captured and arrested. The bags he carried had large amounts of what turned out to be stolen property.
Once it was determined where Humphrey lived, a search warrant was obtained for the apartment leased by 31 year old Erica Gentry, who was also arrested.
More from Rhonda Seaton.
Some of the stolen merchandise was found in their apartment, and some was found along a fenceline separating the College Station Target store and the Enclave apartments.
