CS Council Reviews Proposed Charter Ordinance Changes Wednesday

13 months and 18 meetings in the making, recommendations of the College Station Charter Review Advisory Committee will be discussed Wednesday during a special meeting with the city council.

There are eight recommendations that if approved by the council will go to voters at this November’s general election.

The volunteers were charged with reviewing four sections of city laws. That includes one subject that faced the council when the committee was formed last year, a recall campaign following the annexation of Wellborn. The proposal, if voters approve, limits the recall to incompetency, official misconduct, or malfeasance.

Wednesday’s joint meeting starts at 4:30 at city hall, after the council meets in executive session.
