CS Council Responds To Public Speaker’s Request For Northgate Traffic Study

The only public speaker at last week’s College Station city council meeting got the attention of the governing body.

Bobby Carter requested a traffic study after he said he was nearly hit in the Northgate district while crossing University at Boyett.

Near the end of the meeting, councilman James Benham asked for a study to install a crossing signal.

Public Works director Donald Harmon said staff was already looking at possible consultants.

The council was also reminded TxDOT would have a say in the matter, because University is a state highway.
