The College Station City Council approved spending more money than budgeted to repair and improve a stretch of hike and bike trail.
This is at Brothers Pond Park, where Interim Parks Director David Schmitz told Councilwoman Jana McMillian this will meet national standards and ADA laws.

The improvements will cost approximately $205,000 dollars, which is $45,000 over budget. The council moved money from improvements at Anderson and Steeplechase Parks.
On another issue involving bike trails, McMillan asked staff to research establishing fees for bike trails.
