Combine evading arrest with a lengthy criminal history and that means more prison time.

A Bryan gang member sent to prison for five years for shooting two people in 2003 was sentenced to 30 years for evading arrest.

Court records show 29 year old Daniel Prado has been in Brazos County District Court 25 times in eight years.

That history enhanced his punishment after he was found guilty of evading arrest in a recent trial decided by the judge.

The District Attorney’s office also announced Prado received a separate ten year term on another case also involving evading arrest and drug possession.
