Construction Of Ringer Library Expansion Project Is Winding Down

Next week, the expanded and renovated Larry J. Ringer library is expected to be in the possession of the library system.

That follows the substantial completion of the more than $6 million dollar project.

But it won’t open to the public until August.

That was part of the update given at the last College Station city council meeting by project manager Erica Wozniak.

The council approved spending $460,000 thousand dollars…more than half of the budget for furnishings…on new shelving.

Wozniak says the shelving will take three months to arrive.

The council was also the Friends of the Library organization has contributed $40,000 dollars towards furnishings.
