Consol beats Bryan again, 9-1

The baseball edition of the crosstown showdown again went to A&M Consolidated. The 8th ranked Tigers got seven runs in the first two innings and beat Bryan 9-1 at Tiger Field. Seth Holbert took advantage of the early run support and threw a two-hitter at the Vikes. The Tigers now have a two-game lead over Belton for first place in district 12-5A. Bryan helped Consol’s cause with five errors that allowed two run in the middle innings.

In softball, Consol shutout Copperas Cove 1-0 as Sarah Halliwell got her 10th win with a complete game two-hitter. Consol is in a tie with Belton at the top of the distcit standings at 9-2.

Bryan beat beat Temple 4-1 on the road. Bittany Jones got the pitching win and went 2-2 at the plate. Bryan improves to 7-4 in district.
