High school football playoff will continue and the A&M Consolidated Tiger continue right along with them. The Tigers ran their winning streak to 11 Friday night with a 42-23 win over McKiney Boyd in the 5-A Division I Area Round game and now advance to the Region II semi-finals, where they’ll meet undefeated Round Rock Stoney Point Saturday night at 7 pm at Waco ISD Stadium.
Also, the Navasota Rattler won their second straight playoff game, beating Huffman-Hargraves 43-26 in Houston. The Rattlers will next meet Tyler Chapel Hill in the 3A Regional semis, Friday night at 7:30 at the Waco ISD Stadium.
Cameron beat Newton, Lexington won over Frankston and Bremond beat Beckville to add to the Brazos Valley advancers in the playoffs. Normangee and Calvert were also winners. Cameron will meet East Chambers Friday night in Shenandoah, Lexington takes on Corigan-Camden Friday night in Fairfield, and Bremond meets Tenaha Friday in Brownsboro. Normangee meets Big Sandy Saturday in Corsicana and Calvert takes on Richland Springs Friday in Moody.
