More road construction starts in College Station is starting.

The city council is told at its last meeting that barricades along Lincoln Avenue between Texas and Tarrow will be set up the week of June 17th. Once that section is finished, construction will start on Lincoln between Tarrow and University.

Responding to council questions, capital projects director Jennifer Cain said there will be one lane traffic where motorists will deal with buses and trash trucks that will make frequent stops.

What will be a narrower two lane street will include shared use paths, roundabouts at Nimitz and Munson and a right turn lane at University.

The $12.2 million dollar project also replaces water, wastewater, and storm sewer lines.

Weather permitting, completion is expected in early 2026.
