College Station’s Baylor Scott & White Hospital Holds Fifth Anniversary Luncheon

Sunday marked five years since the opening of College Station’s Baylor Scott & White hospital.

Those connected with the hospital, the hospital’s parent company, and community leaders attended a luncheon celebrating the milestone.

The president of the Baylor Scott and White system, Jim Hinton, says the future includes never forgetting that the state’s largest non-profit health care system was founded as a Christian ministry.

The hospital’s first five years has included more than 5,600 births…including 104 sets of twins…along with more than 35,000 lab procedures, more than 300,000 imaging appointments, one million outpatient registrations, more than 26,000 patient admissions, and more than 27,000 surgeries.

The hospital employs almost 1,100 and has a medical staff of more than 400.
