A College Station woman awaiting for four trials in various Brazos County courts, is out of jail following her arrest on four new charges. A College Station police officer responding to a shoplifting call last week at Target spotted the woman’s SUV at Texas and Holleman. The woman did not stop for the patrol vehicle until she arrived at her home one mile later near Dominik and Stallings. According to the arrest report, 27 year old Brittany Childs told the officer she did not want to be arrested while her infant child was in the SUV. Childs was arrested for shoplifting about $200 dollars of merchandise, driving without a license with prior convictions, fleeing, and misdemeanor possession of marijuana. Childs is awaiting separate trials for tampering with government records, giving a false name, criminal mischief, and another misdemeanor marijuana charge.
