A College Station woman is headed to a state jail more than five years after leaving three children by themselves.

Court records show in July 2019, 28 year old Terica Thurmon admitted to abandoning her then two, four, and five year old children in November 2018 in their home.

Her original punishment of three years probation was modified in October 2020. Then the district attorney’s filed a motion to revoke the modified probation in April 2022.

A spokeswoman in the D-A’s office tells WTAW News that Thurmon violated six conditions, including failure to submit to anger management and not completing parenting skills classes.

That led to the judge’s order on Monday (April 29) that Thurmon serve a 15 month sentence for the felony offense.
