This week’s announcement that College Station Utilities (CSU) can not accept online payments also impacts customers enrolled in autopay.
WTAW News has asked how many CSU customers are in autopay.
Whatever the number, the city will be sending emails and snail mails to autopay customers that they have to pay in person, by phone, or snail mail.
Autopay and online payment are not available due to security issues with the city’s third party provider.
Mayor Karl Mooney, during his regular update on WTAW’s The Infomaniacs, says it will be at least two or three months before CSU will be able to resume making payments online or with an autopay feature.
Mooney says the city is looking for a new third party provider.
The mayor also says the city has extended the period of time to pay bills.
