College Station School Board Approves Construction Contract For Third Middle School

Groundbreaking will take place soon on the largest project approved by College Station school district voters last year.

That’s after the school board at last week’s meeting approved a construction contract for the district’s third middle school.

Facilities director Jon Hall says negotiations after the bid opening brought the maximum construction price to $43.5 million dollars.

Adding the rest of the expenses, that put the total project cost at the estimate of almost $51.4 million.

Construction equipment is expected to be on site as early as next week, on land located north of Greens Prairie Trail between Wellborn and Royder Roads.
