College Station School Board Approves Additions To Boundary Change Policy

College Station school district administrators were surprised when the board of trustees this week unexpectedly made changes to the long debated policy on changing campus boundaries.

There was unanimous approval to two additions from board president Jeff Harris.

One allows high school students to spend all four years at one campus unless a new high school is opened.

The board did not discuss amending grandfathering policies at other grade levels.

Harris also added language he hopes will help future boards with the process of changing boundaries.

The CSISD board would be required to do annual reviews of enrollment and facilities in November or December.

And administrators will be required to give the board key information that could affect the timing of future boundary changes.
