College Station police responded to gunfire Thursday night (October 3) at John Crompton Park. CSPD’s Facebook page says no one was hit by multiple shots that were fired following a fight involving several individuals. One person who was injured in the fight was treated at the scene for undisclosed injuries. As of Friday afternoon, no arrests were announced.

College Station police had an increased presence Friday (October 4) at Oakwood Intermediate School. That is after CSPD received rumors of a gun being brought to school. According to messages College Station ISD sent to Oakwood families, CSPD has not found corroborating evidence of a credible threat.

College Station Police are continuing to investigate rumors mentioned in my previous email. No corroborating evidence of a credible threat to the school has been identified. Out of an abundance of caution, CSPD has informed us that additional officers will be by the school today to ensure the safety of our students and staff.

I will share additional information as it is available.
