College Station police makes two arrests around 2:30 in the morning on Monday (September 2nd) in a rental housing neighborhood south of University and east of Tarrow.

The initial report came from residents on Wellesley Drive, who saw two men opening a car trunk and removing bags. The CSPD arrest report says when the men were caught, they denied getting into the trunk, the victim identified Pokémon cards that were stolen. 17 year old Jaydorian Booker of College Station, who was arrested for vehicle burglary, had been out of jail three days after posting bond from an unrelated arrest for misdemeanor theft. As of September 4th, Booker remains jailed in lieu of a $4,000 bond on the vehicle burglary charge. Online jail records do not show that the other man who was questioned was arrested.

A CSPD drone that deployed during the vehicle burglary investigation also picked up someone in Lions Park on University after park hours. The CSPD arrest report says when the man ran away from one officer, the drone and other officers were used to capture the man in the roadway on University about three blocks away. That led to the arrest of 28 year old Preston Harrison of College Station for evading arrest with prior convictions. Harrison remains jailed as of September 4th in lieu of a $5,000 dollar bond. Online court records show Harrison pleaded guilty to evading in June of 2022 and was sentenced to 12 months in a state jail.
