A College Station police officer patrolling a neighborhood with an increase in vehicle burglaries Sunday (November 10) at four in the morning spots two men in Tarrow Park after hours. The officer follows the men out of the park, sees them pulling on car door handles, then sees both of them enter one pickup truck, then sees one of the men enter another truck while the other is a lookout. When the men leave the second truck, they are caught by other officers. That leads to the arrests of 18 year old Charles Harrell Jr. of College Station and 17 year old Teddy Walker Jr. of Bryan. Online court records show Walker is awaiting two felony criminal trials on charges from last April, one for felony theft and one for unauthorized use of a vehicle. As of November 11, both remain in jail in lieu of bonds on the vehicle burglary charges totaling $50,000 dollars and $300 dollar bonds for violating park curfew hours.
College Station police and fire dealt with multiple people Saturday night (November 9) at the carnival that was set up at Post Oak Mall. That’s according to the arrest report of a 17 year old woman possessing an electronic cigarette containing THC and interfering with public duties. Le’ajah Gaines of College Station was released from jail after posting bonds totaling $7,000 dollars. Gaines arrest report stated that a College Station deputy fire marshal saw multiple fights, an off-duty officer was fighting another suspect, and another suspect showed a handgun. Gaines arrest report says the unidentified suspect with the gun was detained, but there is no reference to that person or anyone else being arrested, or anyone requiring medical treatment for injuries during the fighting.
