Second Arrest By College Station Police Following The Discovery Of Illegal Drugs Inside A Bryan Home

College Station police make a second arrest following the April 23rd search of a Bryan home near Tanglewood Park.

26 year old Alexander Welch is accused of possessing with the intent to sell almost one pound of marijuana in his bedroom.

Officers also found text messages between Welch and his roommate about drug sales.

Welch’s roommate, 21 year old Daegin Hamilton, was arrested April 23rd after CSPD officers found more than eight pounds of marijuana, more than nine ounces of fraudulent Adderall pills laced with methamphetamine, more than five ounces of cocaine, and vape cartridges containing T-H-C.

Welch, who was arrested May 15th, is out of jail after posting a $12,000 dollar bond.

Hamilton was released from jail after posting bonds totaling $44,000 dollars.

College Station police brought their bomb squad and hostage negotiations team to a Bryan neighborhood Tuesday morning (April 23) before sunrise.

CSPD social media says there was a search of a home on Tanglewood Drive near Midwest Drive.

A CSPD spokesman confirmed the arrest of 21 year old Daegin Hamilton for possessing between five and 50 pounds of marijuana and possessing with the intent to deliver an undisclosed amount of three unidentified types of controlled substances.

CSPD arrest reports say officers seized 8.18 pounds of marijuana, 269.4 grams of fraudulent Adderall pills laced with methamphetamine, 144.1 grams of cocaine, and vape cartridges containing 57 grams of THC.

The arrest reports also say Hamilton told officers he “had sold marijuana, Adderall, and cocaine for the last several months” and “admitted knowledge of a large quantity of drugs were located inside the house.”

Hamilton was released from jail April 24th after posting bonds totaling $44,000 dollars.
