From College Station police:
On Friday, May 4, 2018 at about 5:55 PM, Officers with the College Station Police Department were initially dispatched to the area of Lincoln Avenue and Tarrow Street for an incident involving a gun.
Officers were told that someone had just pointed a pistol at the victim and were leaving the area in a vehicle. The victim gave a description of the vehicle which was relayed to Officers in the area.
A vehicle matching that description was found driving into the parking lot of Spec’s Wines, Spirits and Finer Foods located at 1729 Texas Avenue. Officers quickly detained the occupants and began their investigation.
Officers learned that the driver, identified as Donald Wilczak, had been involved in a road rage incident in another part of the city with another vehicle. The incident escalated to the point that Wilczak pulled out a pistol and pointed it at the individual in the other car, putting that subject in fear for their life. Wilczak and his passenger then left the area, only to be stopped by Officers in the Spec’s parking lot.
Wilczak was then arrested and transported to the College Station Police Department jail. Wilczak’s passenger was found to not be directly involved and was release from the scene. No one was injured in the incident.
Arrested and charged was Donald Aurther Wilczak, 43 year old Iola, Texas resident (charged with 1 count of aggravated assault, 1 count of unlawfully carrying a weapon, and 1 count of possession of marihuana (less than 2 ounces).
