More burglaries were reported to College Station police in September compared to the year before.
Of the approximate 50 cases, 21 were during a four day span last weekend. Lieutenant Steve Brock says this weekend, thieves will have more vehicles to choose from since there’s a Texas A&M home football game.
Brock says five of the 21 vehicles hit last weekend involved someone shattering windows to gain entry to grab something that was in plain sight.
In addition to removing or at least hiding valuables and locking vehicles, Brock reminds motorists going in and out of Kyle Field to follow directions given by officers…and leave the driving to someone who has had no alcohol.
