A 26 year-old College Station man was arrested Friday morning after a College Station police officer spotted him in a stolen car.
According to the CSPD arrest report, the driver stopped in the 2700 block of Welsh Avenue around 9:30 a.m.
The officer made contact with Matthew Streckfuss and could see he had a knife. Several more officers arrived and helped detain him quickly and safely.
Then, during a search of the stolen vehicle, officers found methamphetamine and a handgun.
Streckfuss was arrested and charged with unauthorized use of motor vehicle, possession of a controlled substance, unlawful carrying of a weapon and resisting search.
He is out of jail after posting bonds totaling $32,000.
