Garrett Lee Dikes, a 22-year-old from College Station, was arrested Tuesday for allegedly stalking his ex-girlfriend and damaging her car.

The victim first filed a criminal mischief report with College Station police on March 18, 2012 after her tires were slashed.

Criminal mischief acts continued to the victim and her friend who Dikes believed to be her new boyfriend. Dikes sent threatening text messages to the victim between March 18 and April 19.

College Station police said that Garrett Lee Dikes intentionally backed his truck into his ex-girlfriend’s Audi, busting out the tail light and caused damage to its back bumper shortly after 2 a.m. on Friday.

Dikes sent threatening voicemails and text messages to his ex-girlfriend’s phone later that night. The victim told police that she received text messages around 3 a.m. that led her to believe that Dikes was watching her, police said.

Dikes was charged with stalking and two counts of criminal mischief.
