College Station ISD School Board Members Review Survey Results Of Students Bringing Cell Phones To School

Before and during Christmas break, College Station ISD received 4,400 responses to a survey about the district’s cell phone policy.

Those results were reviewed during January’s CSISD board meeting.

Board members agreed with superintendent Tim Harkrider’s recommendation to get more information from employees and students at College Station High and Consolidated High Schools.

Harkrider also said no one is considering students being banned from having phones.

Harkrider said his biggest concern is proposed state legislation that would force districts to ban students from having cell phones on campus.
