A College Station church is the 112th recipient of a city historical marker.
Louis Hodges of the historical preservation committee presented the marker at this week’s city council meeting to New Victory Temple Church on Detroit Street, which is in the McCulloch neighborhood of the Southside area.
The church was founded in 1954 in a nearby home, then moved to its present location in 1956.
The church is the 12th building…and joins 100 homes in College Station with historical markers of structures that are at least 50 years old.
