College Station Firefighters Respond To Three Calls Of Structure Fires

Equipment that was smoking was the source of two structure fire calls for College Station firefighters.

Sunday at 5:14 p.m., CSFD responded to CHI-St. Joseph College Station hospital for what turned out to be a smoking x-ray machine. Hospital personnel shut down the machine and isolated the area. No patients were evacuated. Firefighters helped removed the smoke. There was no damage to the building.

And Monday at 2:19 a.m., CSFD responded to an alarm at the Petco store. A motor on a door was smoking set off the alarm. Firefighters removed smoke from the building. There was no damage to the building.

Saturday just before noon, CSFD responded to an apartment fire on Woodsman Drive, which is near the intersection of Jones-Butler and Holleman West. The fire was in an oven, and firefighters contained the fire to the oven. No was injured or displaced.
