College Station Firefighters Credit Employees For Preventing A Monday Morning Fire

College Station firefighters give a shoutout to employees quick action that prevented damage to the building Monday morning.

CSFD captain Stuart Marrs says two crews were sent to Galleria Day Spa on Rock Prairie Road after employees turned on their heater and discovered a light haze and a burning smell.

That led employees to shut off the system and leave the building.

Marrs says the source of the haze and odor was a burned out furnace motor in the attic space.

There was no fire, heat, water, or smoke damage.
