College Station Council Not Unanimous In Adopting FY 2020 Budget And Tax Rate

The College Station city budget and tax rate for the 2020 fiscal year that starts October 1 have been approved by the city council.

Neither vote was unanimous.

Voting for both were mayor Karl Mooney and council members John Nichols, Bob Brick, Linda Harvell, and Dennis Maloney.

Jerome Rektorik voted for the budget but against the tax rate increase of nearly eight percent.

Elianor Vessali voted against both the budget and the tax rate.
