The next step for a possible College Station convention or multi-use center may be taken next Monday (September 29) during a special meeting of the city council.
The agenda calls for the council to receive a presentation from a New York City based international company whose website talks about venue and hospitality operations.
The presentation, according to the council agenda, may lead to discuss future possibilities for an events center of some type.
The website for Legends Global says its network encompasses more than 450 venues worldwide, hosting 20,000 events and entertaining over 165 million guests annually across sports, music, entertainment, attractions, and conventions and leisure platforms.

The council agenda does not say what College Station’s possible events center would include, where it would be built, and/or the funding sources.
Before the Legends Global presentation, city staff is asking the council if they want to further discuss a consultant’s study and to offer direction to staff regarding potential next steps regarding a convention or events center.
Monday’s council meeting starts at three p.m.
