This week’s College Station city council meeting included a presentation about short-term maintenance and long range possibilities on two roads north of Easterwood Airport.
Assistant public works director Emily Fisher said on the city’s portion of F&B Road, once conditions are dry enough, repairs will be done to the road base along with repaving.
The long term future of F&B and Turkey Creek Road will be part of the next city-wide study of local streets. The public works department has initiated contract talks with a consultant that will do the study.
Councilmembers were also told other stakeholders, including Texas A&M and the Bryan school district, have or will be contacted.
Texas A&M owns a short portion of F&B Road west of Harvey Mitchell Parkway. WTAW News asked A&M officials on Tuesday about any university plans to repair its section of F&B Road.
