The College Station city council has taken another step towards borrowing another $39 million dollars for a variety of projects.

About half the parks money, $2.4 million, is designated for Central Park for renovating the pavilion, restrooms, and the parking lot. More than a million goes towards the new Southeast Park, $600,000 will be spent on Bee Creek park concessions and restrooms, and there is $800,000 set aside for park improvements elsewhere around the city.

Breaking down some of the 13 utility projects, there is eight million dollars in new and renovated wastewater lines, more than six million going into the Graham Road electric substation and feeder lines, and just over one million towards College Station’s next water tower, located on Rock Prairie Road.

The two “general government” projects, is $2 million towards the design of the new city hall and $700,000 towards College Station’s seventh fire station.
