Before the College Station city council approved two requests from the fire department to remove on street parking during their May 25th meeting, councilwoman Elizabeth Cunha asked questions about notification procedures.
Public works director Emily Fisher told Cunha that postcards were mailed to residents and property owners on the affected streets. The city does that as a courtesy because there is no legal notification requirement.
Cunha then asked Fisher in the future, to place yard signs with notification information.
The council then unanimously approved removing parking from one side of Lemon Tree Lane from Cedar Run to the end of the road, and along one side of Antone Court.
