The College Station city council approves extending a contract for International Leadership of Texas school (ILT) to continue using the city’s former police department building for their high school.

The city will receive $426,000 dollars for renting the building to ILT during the 2025-2026 school year.

City documents say ILT, which has been renting the building since 2020, will have paid the city a total of $2.2 million dollars.

The lease rate, which began at almost $27,000 dollars a month, has increased to over $35,000 dollars a month.

There was no council discussion before unanimously approving the extension at its Monday meeting (October 7).
