31 firefighters responded Wednesday (January 15) to an apartment fire in College Station.
Investigators at the College Station fire department believe the fire on Deacon near Wellborn started in the back patio.
A cause has not been determined.
No residents or firefighters were injured.
Some residents living on Deacon near Wellborn were evacuated by police and were assisted by CSFD’s community action response team.

The area of origin was the back patio.
Investigators are still looking into the heat source/cause of ignition.
The fire spread to a second story balcony and then into the attic.
A firewall in the attic helped stop the extension of the fire.
Half of the units sustained fire, smoke, and water damage.
31 firefighters responded, including a Ladder crew of four from the Bryan Fire Department.
CSPD assisted with the initial evacuation of the building, scene security and traffic safety.
CSFD’s Community Action Response Team responded to meet the immediate needs of the residents.
No injuries to residents or firefighters.
