College Locked Down After Shooting

CORSICANA, Texas (AP) _ Navarro College in Corsicana has been locked down after a student was shot near the campus.

Spokeswoman Donna Parish told The Associated Press that authorities are questioning three people about the shooting which happened off campus Tuesday night. She said the unidentified student was life-flighted to a hospital. She didn’t know where nor did she have the student’s condition.

Parish said the school, located about 52 miles south of Dallas, activated its emergency alert system around 8 p.m. after the suspects fled in a vehicle. School officials were worried the
suspects might have entered back onto the campus. Authorities were continuing to search for them.

She had no reports of any other injuries. A call to Corsicana police was not immediately returned.
