More Details of Armed Man Seen on A&M Campus

Information courtesy of Texas A&M University Police:

At approximately 4:30 p.m. on November 1, 2012, the University Police received a report of an armed subject on campus. The reporting party advised she observed a man, with what appeared to be a handgun in the waistband of his pants, walking south on Throckmorton Street by the Sanders Corps of Cadet Center. The reporting party described the subject as a white male, 40-50 years of age, 5’05, slender build, balding with light colored hair, wearing a lime green short sleeve shirt, and blue jeans.

Officers were immediately dispatched to the area, but were unable to locate the subject. Officers continue to investigate reports of the suspect sightings.

No further information is available at this time.

•Communicate the message that you’re calm, confident and know where you’re going! Stand tall, walk with purpose, and make eye contact with people around you.

•Trust your instincts! If you feel uncomfortable in a place or situation, simply leave.
