Coach, Author, and Attorney Mike Leach in B/CS

Washington State head football coach Mike Leach is also an author who has co-written a new book about Geronimo. He is also a lawyer.

And in town Friday to address the Brazos County Bar Association’s annual luncheon, Leach connected his three professions.

Going straight into law school after getting his undergraduate degree, Leach found his calling to coach after writing nationally known defense lawyer Jerry Spence.

Football questions included Leach’s first quarterback at Tech, Kliff Kingsbury, who coached Johnny Manziel before returning to Lubbock.

Leach says he’s not met Manziel, but he believes Manziel is one of the most competitive people on the Earth, it was good he was drafted by Cleveland, and he has the opportunity to be a great player if he eliminates distractions.
