The city of College Station is asking residents to not mow city property.

That was in response on the city’s “See, Fix, Click” app to someone who thanked a neighbor for mowing tall grass at Brothers Pond Park so kids could play soccer and baseball.

The city’s response also explained record breaking rainfall has delayed mowing in many parks.

The city’s social media says the city’s mowing contractors and parks and recreation staff are working as quickly and efficiently as possible to get back to a regular mowing schedule.
