Bryan police has received several citizen calls reporting another round of scam attempts using what appears to calls coming from a BPD officer and a BPD phone number.
Officer Kelley McKethan says scammers are again using “spoofing” techniques to threaten you if you don’t give them the code numbers of gift cards.
While she would play along until the scammers got mad, McKethan says the best thing to do is hang up on them, then call BPD at 979-209-5300.
