Gifts are unwrapped, fruit cake has been eaten, and Grandma has gone back home, but that does not mean your holidays have to be over. Lighting displays in College Station are still up and lit for people to enjoy through the weekend.
Sheila Walker, the city’s recreation supervisor, said their first annual Christmas at the Creek was a huge success. She said it was hard to leave their previous location at Central Park, but the new event was a homerun.
Better parking and more room meant 75% more visitors to Wolf Pen Creek this year. The majority of the park will be lit through the end of the month.
If you would like to take a stroll down memory lane and are a fan of the lights at Central Park, there are displays lit there every evening 6-11 p.m. through New Year’s.
