Changes Coming Parking Regulations In College Station Residential Neighborhoods

Changes are coming in College Station regulations regarding parking in residential neighborhoods.

Community services director Debbie Eller told the city council most of 310 complaints received in the code enforcement office over the last ten years have dealt with vehicles parked in front yards but not in driveways.

The council decided to require RV’s, trailers, and boats among other things in the front yards be parked on a paved or gravel surface.

The council also agreed to Eller’s recommendation to ban parking of large commercial vehicles on residential streets.

The revised ordinance will also allow service vehicles to park on residential streets.
