Change Made to Bryan ISD Superintendent’s Contract & More Filings for BISD Board

The Bryan school board has given the district’s superintendent a pay raise for this year and in future years. Trustees on Monday amended Tommy Wallis’ contract to tie his raise to the percentage given to staff who are not educators. For the new school year, that will mean an increase of 3.5 percent.

Meantime, there are now two people interested in the Bryan ISD board position that will be vacated when Maritza Hoffman leaves office. Filing Monday was Trey Moore, who joins Josh Smith, who announced last week. Two other incumbents, board president Doug Wunneburger and secretary Felicia Benford, have filed for re-election.
