The life of Aggie John David Crow was celebrated Tuesday at Reed Arena.
The host of the program at Reed Arena, Will Johnson of 12th Man Productions, recalled multiple interviews with Texas A&M’s first Heisman Trophy winner, who passed away last week.
Lynn Hickey, who Crow recruited as women’s head basketball coach and assistant athletic director, praised his development of women’s collegiate athletics.
Another speaker was R.C. Slocum, who was hired as head football coach the same day Crow became Texas A&M’s athletic director.
The closing speaker, Phil Adams of Bryan, is a close friend of the family as well as a member of the Texas A&M System board of regents.
