A Caldwell man is headed to prison for the fifth time.
The Brazos County district attorney’s office reports 47 year old Edwin Thomas was convicted for possessing methamphetamine following a jury trial.
Then Thomas and prosecutors entered an agreement on punishment of 30 years.
Thomas has been in jail since his arrest in November of last year.
When he was stopped for speeding, he was arrested for violating probation on a federal conviction.
And when he was booked in jail, he had a baggie containing meth.
Thomas previously served time for drug and burglary convictions.
