A crash on the water at Lake Bryan last weekend, serves as a reminder of boating laws.
Brazos County Game Warden Jason Bussey says there was an arrest for boating while intoxicated. B-W-I is the same on the water as D-W-I is on land. However, on the water there is no law banning open containers of alcohol.
A Leon County man, 27 year old James Shear of Flynn, is accused of B-W-I following the crash of his boat and a second vessel. Shear is out on bond. Three others were taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
