Family and friends were among those praising former president George H.W. Bush’s gift of writing letters at Wednesday’s unveiling of the 41st president’s Forever stamp.
The program at the Bush library and museum was emceed by David Jones, the president and CEO of the George & Barbara Bush Foundation.
Speakers, in order of appearance, were:
Mike Duncan, who chairs the Postal Service Board of Governors,
director of the Bush library and museum Warren Finch,
former Bush administration ambassador Chase Untermeyer,
former chief of staff for the Houston office of George H.W. Bush Jean Becker,
and grandson Pierce Bush of Houston.
