The Brazos County sheriff’s office receiving a neighbor’s report of a home burglary last Friday afternoon east of Kurten led to the arrests of a couple from Robertson County. Six deputies, an off-duty deputy, and a DPS trooper were involved in a pursuit of a motorcycle that ended about 24 miles away outside a home in Benchley. According to the arrest report, 36 year old Henry Marx junior of Hearne told investigators he and 26 year old Jeri Sterling of Franklin were looking for a place to get out of the rain and thought they were in an abandoned home. There was no mention of any property being taken. But the lock on a window was broken and some drawers in a bedroom dresser were open. According to online records, this is the 19th time Marx has been in jail in the last 12 years. That includes serving time earlier this summer for failing to identify himself. Online records also state Marx is being held to serve six months for an unrelated and unidentified civil case.
A College Station couple is out of jail on bond following their arrests last Friday for possessing illegal drugs in their home north of Brian Bachmann Park. According to online records, it’s the 31st time in the Brazos County jail for 46 year old Timothy Kyle. According to the College Station police arrest report, a search of the bedroom shared by Kyle and 48 year old Shay Young had quantities of methamphetamine, psychedelic mushrooms, ecstasy and THC concentrate consistent with street level sales. Officers also seized an undisclosed amount of money and handwritten ledgers.
A produce delivery driver from Houston is in the Brazos County jail following his arrest for delivering four baggies of cocaine during a stop at a College Station restaurant. According to the College Station police arrest report, 30 year old Abran Faz gave an employee the cocaine to deliver it to a co-worker. CSPD officers arrested the driver while he was making a delivery at another College Station business.
