CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas (AP) _ Lots of items end up on kitchen counters, but usually not spent ammunition. Corpus Christi Police say a drive-by shooting early Wednesday led to a bullet going through the wall of a house and landing on a kitchen counter.
Police say nobody was hurt. Lt. Gary Hill says a 4-year-old who was asleep in a room on the other side of the cabinet escaped injury. The shooter has not been found.
Police say the bullet apparently hit a cabinet before ending up on the counter, where it was discovered. The shell casing was recovered in the street.
