BTU Employee Has Died From Power Plant Fire

One of three Bryan Texas Utilities (BTU) employees injured during a fire last week at the Atkins Street power plant has died.

Earle Robinson passed away Sunday at a Houston hospital from critical injuries.

Robinson, who was a Production Support Operator, worked 13.5 years at BTU.

Statement from the city of Bryan:

“The City of Bryan and BTU are deeply saddened by the loss of a treasured member of our work family, Earle Robinson. Earle served BTU customers devotedly for the past 13.5 years and was well respected by his peers and in the community.

We ask the community to join us in remembering the Robinson family in our thoughts and prayers,” Gary Miller, General Manager of Bryan Texas Utilities.
